We do everything with the internet – shop, communicate,
retrieve news…and now with wireless networks popping
up everywhere, our ability to be connected – even
when we’re not at home - has never been greater.
Cingular and Verizon Wireless will soon have a service
– called 3G -- that allows you to literally get
internet wireless service on your laptop anywhere you
get a cellphone signal. Before determining if it’s
worth it or not, here are some things you should consider:

New hardware may be required.
In order to tap into the new technology yo'll need
a laptop with the proper chip, or a pc card that could
cost around $100.
- There's a subsription fee -- currently
plans start at around $60 for a two year subscription -
that's $720 a year
- What's the future of Wifi? Many cities
now offer WiFi service for free. And more are sure to follow...so
unless you plan on doing most of your business in the moutain
ranges of Appalachia, you may not need the service!
